Biogas released from Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) is the single largest emission source of our operations. The biogas plants capture and utilize POME to generate renewable energy for milling operations and nearby communities, with the goal of reducing our carbon footprint by 40%. Various business models are being used to achieve this carbon footprint reduction in the most cost effective way.
