SDP Bags Three Awards at Oils & Fats International Congress (OFIC) 2018

Sime Darby Plantation bagged three awards at the recent Oils And Fats International Congress (OFIC) 2018, a testament to our outstanding performance in the palm oil industry.
Heading the list of award recipient from Sime Darby Plantation was Chief Advisor & Value Officer (CAVO), Datuk Franki Anthony Dass, who was conferred the Honorary Fellow 2018, for his many contributions to the industry.
The second award was won by Sime Darby Plantation Research Centre for The Most Outstanding Research Award 2018 – a recognition of our various researches especially on oil palm genome. Chief Research & Development Officer, Dr K. Harikrishna, received the award on behalf of the company.
The third award for Sime Darby Plantation went to Group R&D’s Chief Chemical Engineer II, Noor Hidayu Othman, who bagged MOSTA 2018 Young Scientist Award (non-member cate gory). Noor Hidayu who is a joint winner for the category, won the award following her contributions and achievements in scientific studies and technical work throughout her eight-year career in Sime Darby Plantation.
Organised by the Malaysian Oil Scientists’ and Technologists’ Association (MOSTA), OFIC 2018 was held from 16 to 18 October 2018 at Hotel Istana, Kuala Lumpur. The biennial conference was attended by scientists and oils & fats industrial players from around the world.
All awards were presented by MOSTA President, Tan Sri Datuk Dr Augustine Ong.
