Tennamaram Estate
Sime Darby Plantation Berhad proudly announces that one of our Strategic Operating Unit, (SOU) Tennamaram was successfully audited against the new Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) Principle & Criteria (P&C) 2018, guided by the Malaysia National Interpretation (MYNI) 2019, on 22nd November 2019. The audit was conducted by an accredited certification body, SIRIM QAS International Sdn. Bhd.
SOU Tennamaram first achieved its first RSPO certification in March 2011 and underwent re-certification in March 2016. This recent audit against RSPO P&C 2018 was its fourth annual surveillance audit (ASA 4). The SOU is located in Selangor with production capacity of about 50,000 mt of crude palm oil (CPO) and 14,000 mt of palm kernel (PK).
This remarks a continuous journey in supporting the Company’s commitment on No Deforestation, No Peat, No Exploitation (NDPE) as the RSPO P&C 2018 has stringent requirements towards halting deforestation, protecting peat lands and strengthening human and labour rights.
