COVID-19 - Preventive Measures and Self Declaration Form for Visitors

In view of the recent COVID-19 epidemic, Sime Darby Plantation Berhad (SDP) has been implementing several preventive measures across our operations to help contain the potential spread of the virus and ensure the wellbeing of our employees and guests. 
Among the measures we have implemented are:
  1. Limiting access to our operations via certain entry points; 
  2. Conducting temperature checks on both guests and employees on a daily basis before they can proceed into our premises and making hand-sanitisers accessible to all our guests and employees.
  3. All employees who have attended any gathering involving 50 or more people are also required to declare this to their respective superiors immediately and observe self-quarantine and testing, if necessary.
  4. SDP has also imposed a travel ban for business purposes to cover all seriously infected countries under the WHO list. 
  5. All forms of communication for meetings and discussions such as the use of digital platforms (e.g. conference calls, business Skype etc.) are to be exhausted before considering any business travel. 
  6. Any essential overseas business travel by employees based in Malaysia needs to be approved by the Group Managing Director (GMD). For non-Malaysian entities, approvals will be managed by the respective Country or Business Units Heads. A 14-days home quarantine must be observed upon employees return. 
  7. SDP has strongly discouraged overseas travel on a personal basis by employees/their families for the time being. All employees are required to declare their international trips (intended or completed) for both business and personal reasons to the Company by completing a self-declaration form. 
  8. All guests/visitors are also required to fill up a self-declaration form. All guests/visitors who have visited high-risk countries will only be allowed access with prior approval from the Company.
