Our plantation development is formulated to include the following criteria:
- Strictly adhere to our policy against clearing virgin forest and ensure protection of high conservation value areas.
- Avoid planting oil palm on very steep slope of above 25 degrees gradient to minimise erosion. These areas are left in situ with its natural habitat and forest.
- Maintaining riparian reserves to minimise soil run-off. Riparian reserves also serves as a filtration system to preserve the quality of water entering the rivers.
- Conducting land development in phases by incorporating the planting of legume covers, construction of retention ponds, terraces and silt traps.
