Datuk Franki Anthony Dass, 62, a Malaysian, was appointed Executive Vice President, Sime Darby Berhad – Plantation Division on 1 December 2010. This position was re-designated as the Managing Director, Plantation Division with effect from September 2015, a position he held until November 2017. He is now the Chief Advisor & Value Officer of Sime Darby Plantation Berhad (SDPB) following the ‘Pure Play’ of Sime Darby Berhad on 21 November 2017. In this capacity, he is responsible for providing advisory, coaching on technical and strategic matters and mentoring the next generation of leaders, leading the Value Creation execution and culture transformation as well as ensuring progress on all other new value creation and  digital initiatives of SDPB.

As Managing Director, Plantation Division, he leads and oversees SDPB, the world's largest listed plantation Company and the largest producer of Certified and Sustainable Palm Oil (CSPO) operating in 17 countries worldwide including Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
 
Datuk Franki began his career in Kumpulan Guthrie Berhad (Kumpulan Guthrie) in 1980 and has over 35 years of working experience. After various postings across Malaysia, Datuk Franki assumed the post of General Manager of Minamas Plantation, Kumpulan Guthrie in Indonesia in 2002. He subsequently became the Chief Operating Officer of PT Minamas Gemilang in 2004, before becoming its Chief Executive Officer in 2007 following the merger of Sime Darby Berhad, Golden Hope Plantations Berhad and Kumpulan Guthrie.
 
Datuk Franki is also a Board member in a number of subsidiary companies in SDPB. He is currently the Chairman of the Malaysian Palm Oil Association. He is also a member of the Programme Advisory Council of Malaysian Palm Oil Board, The Board of Trustees of the Malaysia Palm Oil Council and a council member of the Malaysia Productivity Corporation. He is a Fellow of the Incorporated Society of Planters (ISP) and the Malaysian Oil Scientists and Technologists Association (MOSTA). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Science from Universiti Pertanian Malaysia and has attended various Management programmes with Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM), the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) and the Harvard Senior Leadership programmes.
