Sime Darby Plantation operations in Malaysia have a total landbank of 343,938 ha with oil palm planted area of 303,329 ha of which 83% is mature.

In Malaysia we own and operate 124 oil palm estates in Peninsular Malaysia, Sarawak and Sabah, as well as over 11,600 ha of rubber plantation in the states of Kedah, Perak, Negeri Sembilan and Johor in Peninsular Malaysia.

Oil Palm Plantation
Sime Darby Plantation seeks to continuously bolster yield performance through replanting programme at a rate of 5 percent of the total planted hectarage per year.

On-going initiatives to derive high yield will continue with estates and mills followina Best Agricultural Management Practices, and using high-yielding planting material.

For effective management and cost-efficiency, our estates and mills operate within an organisational structure of Strategic Operating Units (SOUs), zones and regions.
Rubber Plantation
We have 12 rubber plantations in Malaysia and 1 rubber plantation each in Indonesia and Liberia. To date, we have 11,603 Ha of planted area in Malaysia, of which 4,870 Ha are mature.

In Malaysia, we own a latex concentrate factory in Sungei Senarut Estate (SD Latex Batu Anam) and a rubber factory in Tangkah, with capacities of 11,800 MT and 6,000 MT per year respectively.

We have an associate company in Thailand, Muang Mai Guthrie Ltd., which is involved in processing and trading of rubber. Our plant in Thailand has the capacity for concentrated latex, skim block and compo block of about 42,000 MT, 3,360 MT and 630 MT per year, respectively.
