Sime Darby Jomalina produces refined palm oil and palm kernel oil products
which include shortening, industrial margarine, frying palm oil, milk fat replacement,
vegetable ghee and cooking oil.
Also produced are customised oil products for frying, application in dairy products,
colouring and as food ingredient for local market as well as for exports to Japan,
Hong Kong, Europe and the US.
Sime Darby Jomalina also manufactures the following speciality products:
- Special Animal Fat Replacer (SaFaR) - A vegetable fat to replace animal fats
in food products,
- Jomalina Guaranteed Quality (JGQ) products - Products made of palm oil with
low saturated fatty acid content,
- Golden Joma Red Olein - Red Palm Oil with very high beta carotene content.

EDIBLE OIL SDN BHD
Austral Edible Oil (AEO) specialises in refining crude palm oil from Sime Darby
Plantation’s estates in Sabah and Sarawak for export.
AEO also has a kernel crushing plant to process palm kernels for oil.
Products from both the refinery and the kernel crushing plants which include palm
stearin, palm oil, palm olein, crude palm kernel oil and palm kernel expeller are
exported to China, the Far East, Europe and West Asia.

DARBY KEMPAS SDN BHD
Located at the southern tip of Peninsular Malaysia in the state of Johor, Sime Darby Kempas
manufactures palm oil-based vegetable and speciality fats, 95 per cent of which
are exported to Thailand, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Ukraine, Mauritius and Algeria.
Kempas is also involved in the production of bakery fats, confectionery fats, margarine
